Hi debaters!
The International Debate Education Association (IDEA) is excited to announce that Sayeqa Islam will be headed to Seoul to assist with DebateFest 2009.
Sayeqa was Best Speaker at the 2007 Austral-Asian Debating Championships, winner of the 2007 Cambridge IV and finalist at the Oxford IV tournament. In addition to her accolades as a debater, she is also an accomplished trainer and adjudicator for a number of debate formats.
Sayeqa will be serving as an IDEA trainer at the KHSDC Workshop, the CAU-IDEA Pacific Rim Championship Workshop, and at the winter Asian Debate Institute. We are also pleased to announce her appointment as Deputy Chief Adjudicator for the CAU-IDEA Pacific Rim Championship and as an adjudicator for the KHSDC.
The staff of DebateFest 2009 looks to be a fun and impressive group, and we are looking forward to some great debates. See you in Seoul!
Best wishes,
Elizabeth Humphrey
IDEA Program Coordinator
